Steven W. Nimrod, LCPC

Steve completed his undergraduate work in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Tarkio Missouri. In 1993, he completed the master’s program at the University of Kansas, with a M.S.Ed. in counseling psychology. While in the counseling psychology program, he received training through an internship at The Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital in Topeka, KS.

Steve has provided mental health counseling in a variety of settings including inpatient, partial hospital, nursing home, home/office, and private practice. His counseling approach is a holistic one, focusing on mind, body and spirit, toward the goal of improved psychological health and overall well-being. He utilizes theory and techniques derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Health Psychology, and Sports Psychology. He also provides animal assisted counseling when appropriate, with the help of Dakota and Shian, two of his therapy dogs.

Steve sees patients ages 18 and up.
